Something interesting about Rapid Creek, Northern Territory, is its name doubles as a suburb and creek. The sister suburb of Nightcliff was developed in the 1950s and helped Rapid Creek grow. Additionally, the Rapid Creek Sunday Market is the oldest market in the city of Darwin. It happens every Sunday morning and sells produce plants and seafood.
