The town of Bonogin, Queensland is a mystery with old fashioned charm. It’s believed that the name of the town may have come from the Aboriginal word Boonoo which means Red Bloodwood. Its Bonogin Creek was restored in 1999 alongside Davenport Park to preserve the wildlife and plants. Something that makes this place unique is its mobile library service. Sometimes called the “Bookmobile,” a large vehicle comes through town to allow people to borrow books!
