Job Requirements for Phoenix
As an AquaMobile swim instructor, you will need:
- Up to date First Aid & CPR: Future swim instructors must complete a two-year certification that’s accredited by the American Red Cross. Start CPR 1st and American Emergency Response Training offer excellent courses.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: Lifeguards and swim instructors must pass a course that’s approved by the Arizona Department of Health. Get certified at the Ray & Joan Kroc Center or Arizona State University,
- Access to reliable Transportation: Valley Metro (28-mile railway line that travels through the city and links to neighboring Tempe and Mesa), Phoenix Transit Buses (city and regional routes that connect riders to neighboring communities), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cabs (Elite Taxi Cab, VIP Taxi, etc.), personal car
- Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
