Job Requirements for Elk Grove
As an AquaMobile swim instructor, you will need:
- Up to date First Aid & CPR certification: Two-year certification from the American Red Cross or another national organization. Classes are available at Star CPR - Sacramento and Everyday Heroes Training Center.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: Get an American Red Cross certificate after passing the written and practical exams. Take courses from Cosumnes Parks and Recreation or the City of Sacramento.
- Access to reliable transportation: Elk Grove Transit (bus system that has over 15 different routes through Elk Grove and connections to Sacramento), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cab (AA My Yellow CAB, Elk Grove Taxi, etc.), personal car
- Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
