Job Requirements for Napa
As an AquaMobile swim instructor, you will need:
- Up to date First Aid & CPR certification: Two-year certification from an accredited organization such as the American Red Cross or American Aquatics and Safety Training from an organization such as Survival CPR & First Aid or Debbie’s CPR.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: Pass the American Red Cross’s written and practical exams with 80% or better to receive a certification. The City of Napa’s Parks and Recreation Department offers courses.
- Access to reliable transportation: The Vine Transit (bus system with over ten routes that makes stops throughout the city at important places such as hospitals, shopping centers and more), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cab (Yellow Cab of Napa Valley, Napa Red Cab, etc.), personal car
- Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
