I am Cynthia, a Water Safety/Surf Instructor & Lifeguard. I have been Lifeguarding since the age of 16 and have been teaching & coaching for around 15 years. I have been blessed to work with parent & me classes, as well as toddlers, preteens teens and even adults! Water Safety is my passion. I love helping students build confidence in the water while learning how to be safe! I have always been in the water, but I started my official water safety training on my high school swim team - the coach expected that we all learn swim education. My first aquatic job was working for NYC Aquatics where I received an opportunity to Lifeguard and be an Instructor's Aide. In my 2nd year, I was chosen to test for Water Safety Instructor and have not looked back since! Now living in a coastal community, the Rockaways, I have acquired my Surf Instructor Certificate. I spend as much time as I can giving back to the community I live in and spreading Water awareness to everyone who has ears!
