Aloha! I am passionate about preventative health, water safety, and long-term athletic well-being. I have 19 years of swimming experience and a lifelong connection to the water. I competed for four years on the Grand Canyon University Club Swim Team as a butterfly and freestyle sprinter, and have competed and placed at both Regional and National CCS championships. My coaching background includes working with pre-competitive age groups (ages 3–10) as well as collegiate athletes at Grand Canyon University. I also bring years of Junior Lifeguarding experience on O'ahu, where I developed strong skills in ocean safety, water rescue awareness, and teaching younger swimmers how to be confident and safe in and out of the water. I am CPR/AED and First Aid certified, and I am currently pursuing my CSCS certification to further deepen my knowledge in performance, individualized training and injury prevention. I want to help swimmers create safe, positive, and fulfilling relationships with the water, by coaching with enthusiasm, patience, and adaptability, with a strong focus on tailoring each lesson to the individual goals of swimmer and/or their families', whether that means overcoming fear of the water, learning foundational skills like floating, or developing competitive technique. Above all, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment, rooted in kindness, integrity, and care for each swimmer’s growth. I value teaching in a way that reflects patience, respect, and genuine investment in every child’s/person's progress.
