I am a recent college graduate with a BFA in Musical Theatre. I am very creative and outgoing and have two years experience teaching swim lessons. I love the water and want it to be a safe and fun place for everyone. I was on a swim team for 8 years before transitioning into musical theatre and have a lot of experience perfecting my form in the water and also helping others reach their water goals.
I have 3 years experience teaching children ages 6 months to 13 years old- 2 years of swim lessons, one year of camp counseling.
I was most recently a swim instructor and lifeguard at the West University Colonial Pool. There, I taught private lessons one-on-one, private lessons with siblings, and group lessons. My group lessons ranged from “Mommy and Me” classes (6 months) to 11 year olds. My private lesson students have ranged from 3 years old to 10 years old.
My theatre background allows me to be personable with my students; I want them to have a great time in their lesson!
I also enjoy singing songs and playing games in the “Mommy and Me” classes.
It is important to me to make sure my students are having a good time and to really listen to each child and meet their specific needs. I strive on making my classes fun, while also keeping my students safe and challenged at the same time.
Capable of teaching breast stroke and butterfly stroke.
