My name is Meredith and I’m from Alexandria, VA. I received my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Virginia in 2012. The year after college I worked in the Emergency Department in Alexandria. I have just completed a graduate program at VCU School of Medicine and will be applying to medical schools this year. I have years of experience with kids of all ages and abilities! I’ve been a babysitter since I was 13 years old and have worked at Camp Carysbrook for Girls for 5 summers.
I have been a lifeguard and swim instructor at Camp Carysbrook for Girls almost every summer from 2007-2014. In 2012 I was the Head Counselor and Head of Aquatics where I oversaw all the lifeguards and instructors. I am certified in First Aid, CPR/AED, Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor. My last year of college (2011-2012) I was an Aquatics Therapy Assistant at the Kluge Children’s Rehabilitation Center where I taught children with mental and physical disabilities the basics of swimming strokes, helped stretch them out and played fun and engaging games!
