Nancy J swim instructor

BIO

Hi! I’m Coach Nancy; and have been coaching swimmers of all ages from 9 months to adult for over three years. I was the Head Swim Team Coach, Head Masters Swim Program Coach, as well as initiated a triathlon swim training program at a national gym prior to my move to sunny Florida. I am a huge believer that it is not only imperative to have a strong foundation in the basics of swimming, but to learn how to build that foundation while making swimming a fun, safe and getting the ultimate experience of the water, no matter what your end goal! I have been blessed to have been given the opportunity to successfully teach many students with variable disabilities and have been studying Adaptive Aquatics through continuing education. I have an absolute passion and love when I have students who start with a fear of the water and end up learning to not only learn to use the water, but learn to love it and swim the strokes properly. Children are a joy to teach how water can be fun, safe and build their skills while they feel they are just having fun. I am a very technical coach with the personal philosophy that if you have the proper technical base, they can build on those base techniques easier, progression becomes more natural and more enjoyable. In order to meet the needs and goals of each student. Swimming is a sport that includes both a mind and body experience that connects in both in the water and out of water training. “Practice makes permanent, but perfect practice makes perfect!!”
