Hello, My Name is Spencer Wade. I am currently a Junior at Georgia State University studying for a dual major in Business and Nursing. I have 5+ years of experience teaching swims lessons of all levels from tots to adults. I have a long swimming background as I began swimming back when I was just 1 year old. I have been a competitive swimmer since the age of 9, which lead to me competing for multiple teams and even being recruited for college teams all over the country. I truly enjoy the water and I love my jobs as a lifeguard and swim instructor! I was trained in both the YMCA and Red Cross methods of swim instruction. I have experience teaching classes ranging from 30 mins to 3 hours and I have taught classes for 6 hours straight on a few occasions. I work on basic skills with my students while teaching them drills for kicking, pulling, and breathing to make sure they can practice on their own to improve at anytime. I have years of experience teaching kids of all ages how to swim from the ground up. I help them overcome any fears they have in the water as well as teach them all necessary swim skills to be safe and have fun in the water while helping them learn to relax. I enjoy teaching my students all of the joys and wonders of swimming and I take pride in watching them excel and grow with time and practice!
