Hi! My name is Kately, and I am a swim instructor who is passionate about helping swimmers build confidence and stay safe in the water. I have been swimming since I was 5 years old, and I completed the YMCA swimming program. I also played varsity water polo for 3 years and varsity swim for 4 years in high school. I am certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid, and I’m qualified to teach children and adults of all skill levels. I have experience working with young children and families, including one year as a paraeducator, which has strengthened my patience, communication, and ability to adapt lessons to each swimmer’s unique learning style. I’m also comfortable working with children with different learning needs. I enjoy teaching water safety, beginner swim skills, and helping swimmers develop proper stroke technique while building confidence in the water. I am great at all strokes, but my best strokes are backstroke and freestyle. My goal is to create a fun, encouraging, and safe environment where every swimmer can learn at their own pace. I look forward to helping you or your child become a stronger, safer, and more confident swimmer!
