Hi, I'm Eileen! I have 14 years of experience teaching and lifeguarding. I have been a supervisor, leadership instructor and mentor to new lifeguards and swim instructors. Currently, I also teach First Aid and National Lifeguards, and I am working to become a National Trainer. I have worked with individuals of all backgrounds, cultures and intellectual and physical abilities from infants to adults. I enjoy connecting with my students and making catered swim lessons fun! It's a crucial life skill to have so I want to make it as enjoyable as possible! On the side, I enjoy taking my rescue dog out for mountain hikes!

I am a certified swim instructor with a strong passion for water safety, athletic performance, and helping others build confidence in the water. Through my experience in lifesaving sport, I’ve developed advanced rescue skills and the ability to stay calm and act quickly in high-pressure situations. I have responded to real emergencies, including seizures and open fractures, which has strengthened my ability to think critically and prioritize safety at all times. As an athlete in boxing and MMA, I bring discipline, focus, and physical conditioning into my teaching style. I understand how to push individuals to improve while still making lessons engaging and supportive. My background in competitive lifesaving has also given me firsthand experience with injuries and recovery, allowing me to approach instruction with both performance and safety in mind. I am an aspiring chiropractor and have volunteered in multiple chiropractic clinics, where I gained insight into injury prevention, body mechanics, and rehabilitation. I apply this knowledge when teaching to ensure swimmers not only improve their technique but also move efficiently and safely. My goal as an instructor is to create a positive environment where swimmers of all levels feel comfortable, capable, and motivated to progress.
