I am a certified swim instructor with a strong passion for water safety, athletic performance, and helping others build confidence in the water. Through my experience in lifesaving sport, I’ve developed advanced rescue skills and the ability to stay calm and act quickly in high-pressure situations. I have responded to real emergencies, including seizures and open fractures, which has strengthened my ability to think critically and prioritize safety at all times. As an athlete in boxing and MMA, I bring discipline, focus, and physical conditioning into my teaching style. I understand how to push individuals to improve while still making lessons engaging and supportive. My background in competitive lifesaving has also given me firsthand experience with injuries and recovery, allowing me to approach instruction with both performance and safety in mind. I am an aspiring chiropractor and have volunteered in multiple chiropractic clinics, where I gained insight into injury prevention, body mechanics, and rehabilitation. I apply this knowledge when teaching to ensure swimmers not only improve their technique but also move efficiently and safely. My goal as an instructor is to create a positive environment where swimmers of all levels feel comfortable, capable, and motivated to progress.

My lessons focus on water safety, stroke development, and comfort in the water, with each session tailored to the swimmer’s age and skill level. I have extensive experience working with young children and understand how to make lessons engaging while helping them develop strong swimming foundations. Whether it’s infant water introduction, children learning their first strokes, or adults improving technique, my goal is to make every swimmer feel confident, safe, and successful in the water.

Hey, I'm Uri! I've started teaching roughly three years ago and have swam competitively for seven. I've started swimming later than most at the age of 8, but I've had wonderful instructors who've helped me learn and who have opened up a whole world for me which I strive to share with others. I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of curriculums in various settings with swimmers seeking to achieve different goals while working with different needs. With my years of competitive experience and having earned my lifesaving instructor certification I have in-depth knowledge about possible pathways in swimming which allows me to cater lessons to these goals.
