These skills are about the person, not the stroke: saying how they feel, using the right support, following simple safety instructions and bouncing back from hard moments. They help every learner, and especially nervous swimmers and children with additional needs.
Your child tries new things with the help that suits them, such as a float, a hand or a simple reminder. As their confidence grows, they need it less, and support is never something to be embarrassed about.
