Job Requirements for Edmonton
As an AquaMobile swim instructor in Edmonton, you will need:
- Up to date First Aid & CPR certification: All two-year certifications should be accredited by the Canadian Red Cross. Classes are offered at Heart 2 Heart First Aid Training Edmonton and Spectrum Safety Services/ Second Chance CPR & First Aid.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: All certifications should be endorsed by credible organizations such as the Canadian Red Cross or Lifesaving Society. Courses are offered at the YMCA of Northern Alberta and the Edmonton Red Cross branch.
- Access to reliable transportation: Edmonton Transit Service (provides over 180 bus routes and offers light rail services within city limits and to Fort Saskatchewan, Spruce Grove and Beaumont), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cabs (Great Edmonton Taxi Service Inc., Yellow Cab, Alberta Co-op Taxi Line Ltd., etc.), personal car
- Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
