Job Requirements for St. Louis
As an AquaMobile swim instructor in St. Louis, you will need:
- Up to date First Aid & CPR certification: Be ready for a swim after completing a two-year certification from the American Red Cross. Midwest CPR Foundation Inc. or Accredited CRP Services can get you certified in no time.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: Pass the written and practical tests to get your two-year American Red Cross certification. You can get certified at the University of Missouri's Recreation and Wellness Center or Lifeguard Pro.
- Access to reliable transportation: MetroLink (light rail system that connects to Shrewsberry, Shiloh Illinois, Washington University, Forest Parka and downtown), MetroBus (75 routes that serve four counties in Missouri and Illinois), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cab (On Time Cab Service, St. Louis American Cab Company, etc.), personal care
- Two or more years of swim instructor/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
Applicants who don’t meet the following requirements will still be considered for the role, providing all relevant qualifications/checks are obtained prior to starting.
