Job Requirements for Mission Viejo
As an AquaMobile swim instructor in Mission Viejo, you will need:
- Up to date First Aid & CPR certification: Two-year certification from the American Red Cross or American Aquatics and Safety Training or another national organization. Take classes at Code 3 CPR Training or CPR Adventure.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: You’ll receive a certification after passing the American Red Cross’s written and practical exams. Take classes from the City of Mission Viejo or Premier Aquatics.
- Access to reliable transportation: MV Shuttle (a free bus service that makes stops at colleges, shops and other important areas), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cab (Mission Viejo Taxi Service, Mission Viejo/Rancho Santa Margarita Yellow Club, etc.), personal car
- Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
Applicants who don’t meet the following requirements will still be considered for the role, providing all relevant qualifications/checks are obtained prior to starting.
