Job Requirements for Covington
As an AquaMobile swim instructor in Covington, you will need:
- Up to date First Aid & CPR certification: Two-year American Red Cross certification from a local course provider such as Push For Life - Education & Training (First Aid) or Northshore CPR LLC.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: After passing the American Red Cross written and practical exams, you’ll receive a two year certification. Classes are available at the YMCA of Greater New Orleans or SELA Aquatics.
- Access to reliable transportation: New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (bus system that goes through New Orleans with connections to Covington and other towns throughout St. Tammany Parish), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cab (Justin Time Taxi North Shore, Mandeville Cab, etc.), personal car
- Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
Applicants who don’t meet the following requirements will still be considered for the role, providing all relevant qualifications/checks are obtained prior to starting.
