Job Requirements for Barnstable
As an AquaMobile swim instructor in Barnstable, you will need:
- Up to date First Aid & CPR certification: Get your two-year certification from a local organization approved by the American Red Cross. Organizations in your community that offer classes include Sylvester Consultants Inc. and Cape Cod CPR.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: Complete an American Red Cross course and pass the written and practical exams with a score of 80% or better. YMCA Cape Cod and the Barnstable Recreation Division offer courses.
- Access to Reliable Transportation: Barnstable Villager (bus that travels on a set route through town with stops at places like Cape Cod Mall, Barnstable Harbor and more), cab (Flit Cab Hyannis, Town Taxi of Cape Cod, etc.), personal car
- Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
