Job Requirements for Beach Haven
As an AquaMobile swim instructor in Beach Haven, you will need:
- Up to date First Aid & CPR certification: Two-year American Red Cross or American Heart Association certification from a local course provider such as Community Training Associates or Oceanside CPR LLC.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: After passing American Red Cross written and practical exams, you’ll receive a two-year certification. Beach Haven Beach Patrol and Long Beach Township Beach Patrol offer classes.
- Access to reliable transportation: Long Beach Island Shuttle (free bus loops around the island and makes many stops, including one in Beach Haven), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cab (Shore Taxi and Car Service, LBI Exclusive Car and Limousine, etc.), personal car
- Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
Applicants who don’t meet the following requirements will still be considered for the role, providing all relevant qualifications/checks are obtained prior to starting.
