Job Requirements for Spring
As an AquaMobile swim instructor in Spring, you will need:
- Up to date Frist Aid & CPR certification: Complete a two-year American Red Cross certification from a local organization such as Texas CPR Academy CPR Safety Check Services.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: Obtain your accredited American Red Cross certification after passing written and practical exams with 80% or better. Check out the YMCA of Greater Houston or Spring Creek Oaks to find courses near you.
- Access to reliable transportation: Spring Park & Ride (metro bus service that goes through Houston including a stop in downtown Spring), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cab (Reliable Cab Service, Taxi Service in Spring, etc.), personal car
- Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
Applicants who don’t meet the following requirements will still be considered for the role, providing all relevant qualifications/checks are obtained prior to starting.

Sometimes you can love something so much that you want to turn it into a career! Here are some of the options for swimming careers in Spring.
- Head Swim Coach: This job is more important than one of a regular swimming coach in Spring. You will train new coaches, manage the pool facility and work with a team such as the one at Premier Aquatic Club of Klein or The Woodlands Swim Team.
