Brett has been deeply involved in swimming for as long as he can remember. Growing up in the Cayman Islands, he was exposed to the water from a young age. He started swimming competitively at the age of 11 and went on to attend the University of Florida where he graduated in 2011 with his BSc in Finance and Business Administration. While with the Gators, he was named Academic All-American, picked up 19 All-American Honors, was a 4-time Southeastern Conference Champion and also a 2-time NCAA Champion. Brett participated and was a semi-finalist in multiple FINA World Championship Competitions and won gold in record time at the 2011 Pan American Games (200m freestyle). His most recent success comes from the London 2012 Olympic Games where he was a semi-finalist in both the 100 & 200m freestyle. Brett speaks fluent Spanish, is a huge sports fan and loves being charitable whenever possible. His versatility ranges from teaching learn-to-swim to coaching the most talented athletes.
