Named after a range of the same name, Berserker, Queensland, is a strong little suburb. It was named by Charles Archer who was one of the region’s pioneers. The origin of Berserker comes from the Norse warrior “Baresark,” who battled without wearing armour during the Norwegian sagas. Nowadays, there are still several heritage-listed sites that can be found in the community. One of them is St. John’s Anglican Church and the other is North Rockhampton Borough Chambers!
